An Important Announcement Regarding the WellMed Referral Waiver
As the Public Health Emergency referral waiver was lifted in 2023, WellMed opted to extend the waiver through 9/30/24.
Effective 10/1/2024, all Primary Care Providers (PCP) who manage any WellMed patient should begin to issue referrals for specialty care.

Average Hours to Response:
The average time measured in hours from when a referral is sent to when a response is received
Referral to Appointment Ratio (RTA):
The percentage of patients who scheduled an appointment in relation to the total number of referrals
Average Days to Scheduled:
The average time measured in days from the date the referral was sent to when it’s moved to scheduled
Average Days to Appointment:
The average time measured in days from the date the referral was sent to the date of the scheduled appointment
